Who We Are

 

Carter's Sunflowers is a specialist nursery for children who benefit from a personalised approach to learning.  Our approaches are particularly suited to children with autism and associated conditions.

 

We are passionate about early learning and providing the right environment for every child with additional needs to thrive.

What We Do

 

Our nursery has been designed to encourage communication and interaction. We provide a low arousal environment that enables children to focus their attention and learn new skills.

We offer a combination of child led play opportunities, small group teaching and 1:1 structured interventions that are specifically designed to focus on the difficulties children face with social communication, shared attention, play and self regulation. 

 

As part of every child's assessment we provide an individual education plan (IEP) as well as a sensory profile which is incorporated into the session to ensure that every child gets the sensory input they need to be able to engage with the world around them and develop relationships with others.
